This multidisciplinary hospital provides four operating theatres, integrated pre-admission, and separate recovery suites. The surgical unit is clinician-designed and tailored for day and short-stay surgical cases and covers a range of surgical specialties, including ophthalmology, general surgery, urology, plastic surgery, hand and upper limb orthopaedics, and others. It is scheduled to open in early 2025.
Associated with the Day Surgery Unit and Day Procedure Unit, the surgical ward is a 20-bed surgical recovery unit for overnight and short-stay recovery. This ward comprises only private rooms, with ensuites and on-ward recovery lounges and dining facilities. It is for patients requiring short-stay recovery in a clinical setting, usually overnight or for a few days. It will open when the Day Surgery Unit and Day Procedure Unit open in early 2025.
