Dr Joe McTigue graduated from Medicine at The University of Western Australia in 2016. He completed an internship and residency at Sir Charles Gairdner Hospital, where he worked in Emergency Medicine, General Surgery, Respiratory Medicine and Cardiovascular Medicine. In 2019, he worked for 6 months in the Emergency Department at Albany Health Campus, where he obtained his Certificate of Emergency Medicine.
In 2020, he completed a further residency at Perth Children’s Hospital in the departments of Emergency Medicine, Adolescent Medicine, and Ear Nose and Throat Surgery. During this time, he also completed the Sydney Child Health Program.
Having worked in General Practice since 2021, Joe is passionate about the safe use of technology to improve healthcare workflows.
We are delighted to welcome Dr Michael Dawber to the practice, he was born in the UK and attended Cambridge University and King’s College London for his medical degree.
Dr Dawber spent his first 4 years as a doctor in the National Health Service of the UK prior to emigrating to Perth in 2013 and was previously an orthopaedic registrar before completing his Fellowship in General Practice in 2023.
He has special interests in Skin Cancer, Musculoskeletal injuries and Sports Medicine as well as being familiar with worker’s compensation cases and the nuances in the field.
Dr Dawber continues to privately assist for Orthopaedic Surgeons to maintain his knowledge in the field of orthopaedics and sports injuries. He is also continuing his education in the field of dermatology and skin cancer medicine and is currently enrolled within the Skin Cancer College Australasia and furthering his skills in an Advanced Clinical Certificate of Dermoscopy.
